Rathenow District Court

The Rathenow District Court is a court of ordinary jurisdiction and one of six District Courts (AG) in the district of the Potsdam Regional Court .

Seat and District of the Court

The seat of the court is the free city of Rathenow , district town of the Havelland district . The 1061 km² judicial district extends to the cities of Rathenow and Premnitz , the municipality of Milower Land and the offices of Nennhausen , Rhinow and Friesack . Around 53,000 people live in it.

The registry court is the Potsdam District Court , which is also responsible for insolvency proceedings . Dunning proceedings are handled by the Wedding District Court as the central dunning court .

The court is located in the Bahnhofstrasse 19 building. The brick building in the Wilhelminian style, completed in 1905, is a listed building .

Superior courts

The Potsdam Regional Court is superordinate to the Rathenow District Court. The competent higher regional court is the Brandenburg Higher Regional Court in Brandenburg an der Havel .
