The Friesack office is located in the Havelland district on the edge of the Westhavelland nature reserve in Brandenburg . It is located on the B 5 about 30 km from the cities of Rathenow , Nauen , Kyritz and about 40 km from Neuruppin .

According to its main statutes, the Friesack Office has the following member communities:

  5. Wiesenaue with the districts Brädikow , Jahnberge , Vietznitz and Warsow
  6. Retzow

history

On May 13, 1992, the Minister of the Interior gave his approval for the creation of the Friesack Office , which was set for June 19, 1992. The seat of the official administration is the city of Friesack. The following communities from what was then the Nauen district were included:

  1. Friesack (city)
  2. Brädikow
  3. Haage
  4. Paulinenaue
  5. Pessin
  6. Senzke
  7. Vietznitz
  8. Wagenitz
  9. Warsow
  10. Wutzetz
  11. Zootzen

In a communication from the Ministry of the Interior dated April 30, 2002, published in the Brandenburg Official Gazette on May 15, 2002, the Ministry approved the formation of the new municipality of Mühlenberge from the municipalities of Haage, Senzke and Wagenitz with effect from December 31, 2002 Effective December 31, 2002, the municipalities of Wutzetz and Zootzen were incorporated into the city of Friesack.

On October 26, 2003, the new community Jahnberge was formed from the communities Brädikow, Vietznitz and Warsow. The community Selbelang ( Amt Nauen-Land ) was incorporated into the parish of Paulinenaue and the community Retzow (Amt Nauen-Land) was assigned to the Amt Friesack.

On June 7, 2004, the municipal council of Jahnberge decided to rename it to Wiesenaue. The change came into effect on October 1, 2004.
