Grütz [ gʁyːt͡s ] is a district of the district town of Rathenow in the Havelland district in Brandenburg .

Grütz is located approx. 10 km northwest of the Rathenow town center, nestled between landscape and nature reserves. The place has 131 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2015).
history
In 1381 Grütz is mentioned for the first time in the loan books of the Archbishops of Magdeburg as "Grocz". The village church was built in 1806.
Until the territorial reform in the GDR in 1952, it belonged to the district of Jerichow II in the state of Saxony-Anhalt (renamed the district of Genthin in 1950 ), since then to the district of Rathenow in the district of Potsdam and since 1990 in the state of Brandenburg and since 1993 to the district of Havelland in the state of Brandenburg.
In the course of the municipal reform, Grütz became a district of Rathenow on January 1, 2002.
