The list of airports in Syria contains the main airports in Syria .
The identification data IATA code, ICAO code, usage, number and type of runways and the height above sea level are given in meters for the six most important airports .
Explanation
- Name of the airport: Provides the name of the airport and any additional names.
- City: The city where the airport is located.
- ICAO code: The ICAO code is issued by the International Civil Aviation Organization and consists of a unique combination of four Latin letters. Here OS stands for Syria.
- IATA code: The code consists of a combination of three Latin letters and is used to clearly identify the individual commercial airports. The IATA code is issued by the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
- Use: Indicates what the airport is used for.
- R: R stands for runway . Name the number and type of runways at the airport.
- Height in m: Indicates the height above sea level of the airport.
