List of governors of Tamil Nadu
The following table lists the governors of Tamil Nadu since India's independence with their respective terms of office. In 1969, today's Tamil Nadu was created from the Tamil-speaking part of the state of Madras. The first governor after independence continued to be the last governor of the Madras presidency .
