The basis is the publication of the Hessian list of monuments, which was created for the first time on the basis of the Monument Protection Act of September 5, 1986 and has been continuously updated since then.

At the height of the Saalburg Pass there was a horse changing station on the border between the Landgraviate of Hessen-Homburg and the Principality of Nassau-Usingen in the 17th and 18th centuries . In 1871 the horse changing station was converted into a restaurant with Victorian style elements. Louis Jacobi is also involved in the renovation . The interior design is still essentially in the style of the turn of the century. In 2013 the house was added to the list of monuments. | 1871 |
