Before 1910 (residential building); 1911–1912 (outbuilding, reconstruction in 1922); Late 19th century (garden house and pergola) Simple residential house for the owner of the stocking factory with ancillary building (see also factory, Hofer Straße (Mittelbach) 15), garden of the former factory owner's villa with floor relief, pathways, wood, garden gate with pergola and curiosity (garden monument), garden house and pergola with elaborate wrought-iron decorations, In terms of craftsmanship and artistic importance, well-preserved remains of the garden are of importance in terms of garden art, local history and architectural history.

The two-storey factory owner's house was built around the same time as the neighboring glove factory (No. 15) and in 1922 the attic was converted. The construction company Kötteritz & Gerlach, based in Grüna, carried out the work on behalf of the owner of the stocking factory Karl Salzer. Plaster pilaster strips frame the plaster facade, which is quite simple on the street side, which is given rhythm by the windows with walls made of Hilbersdorf porphyry tuff. The facade on the garden side is more elaborate in terms of design, with a central projection that merges into a dwelling and encloses the two-winged house entrance door. Along with the roof conversion, an extension was added to the outbuilding in the courtyard (coach house, stable and wash house).

Raised house garden with symmetrical path system and staircase made of natural stone block steps, trees: copper beech (Fagus sylvatica `Sorte`), black pine (Pinus nigra), red beech (Fagus sylvatica), red oak (Quercus rubra), pedunculate oak (Quercus robur), two blue spruce (Picea pungens `Glauca`) and fruit trees, ornamental shrubs: lilac (Syringa vulgaris), hazel (Corylus avellana), peasant jasmine (Philadelphus spec.), Rhododendrons and cut hornbeam hedge (Carpinus betulus) as the garden border of plot 341/9, garden shed, Pergola with garden gate, curiosity with stone setting, two lilac bushes and two blue spruces.

Former school, now a residential building
Former school, now a residential building Mittelbacher Dorfstrasse 102
(map)
Around 1835 Authentically preserved, time-typical half-timbered building of social history, local history and house history importance.

History: Old school in Mittelbach, built after 1835 as the first community school (no longer a church school). Presumably used as a school until 1876, until the new school was built (today Mittelbach elementary school), after which it was converted into a residential building.

Monument value: The conversion led to minor changes, especially inside the building: new room doors (around 1900), new floor tiles in the hallway (around 1930). Eventually the stairs were replaced by stone stairs around 1960. The external appearance of the house was largely preserved, only the front door was renewed and the former window shutters removed. The structural changes in no way led to the destruction of the monument value. The main parts of the house remained unchanged and are thus evidence of the half-timbered construction at the beginning of the 19th century. As an old school, the building is of great importance for the local history. And finally, as a testimony to the Saxon school policy in the first half of the 19th century, the building is of general historical and socio-historical importance.

House description: two-storey, 5 × 3 axes, solid ground floor, plastered, original porphyry window frames preserved, fastening devices refer to former folding shutters, original door portal with flat triangular gable and cube frieze, there inscription: "Let the children come to me", windows still show the historical ones Winter windows open, all partition walls inside and thus the original room structure preserved, partial installation of partition walls (reversible). In the hallway tiles, according to the verbal reference "Marienberger Pflaster", approx. 80 years old, the current staircase was renewed according to verbal information around 1960, the doors are uniform from the time around 1900, the roof structure, a simple standing chair, is from the construction period.
