Hassstrasse 5b	former synagogue	In 1869 a three-story synagogue was built on this site. When this building no longer offered enough space for the Jewish community, a new, larger synagogue was built on Goethestrasse. The old synagogue was sold and used commercially in the following decades. In the Second World War, the building was almost completely destroyed; Remnants of the facade of the basement were preserved; these were torn down in August 2019 in favor of a new building of rental apartments, the remaining facade is to be integrated into the new building.
