List of cultural assets in St. Stephan

The list of cultural assets in St. Stephan contains all objects in the municipality of St. Stephan in the canton of Bern that are subject to the Hague Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict , the Federal Act of June 20, 2014 on the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflicts as well the Ordinance of October 29, 2014 on the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict .

Objects of category A are not shown in the municipality, objects of category B are fully included in the list, objects of category C are currently missing (as of January 1, 2018). Among other monuments protected objects are found, the "worthy of protection" in the canton of Bern Bauinventar than are listed.

Traditional mixed- use multi-purpose farmhouse built in 1672 . The living room floor in post construction over a solid base with built-in room has a red and black diamond painting on the profiled window sills. The slightly protruding gate threshold is part of a wide ornamental zone with painted diamond and tendril friezes, in the Gadenzone and in the gable area there are paintings with flower motifs, ornamental discs and a hunting scene.

The church building with a tower from the first third of the 15th century, which dates back to the 12th century, is a Romanesque hall church with a trapezoidal floor plan and a gable roof . The current design of the nave is determined by arched door and window openings from the late 17th century. The southern nave wall is set back from the tower and is symmetrically structured by a side portal and two flanking windows.
