List of NOFV football teams in German professional football

This list names all teams of the Northeast German Football Association that have been represented in a German professional league in women's or men's football since the 1990/91 season . While only the 1st Bundesliga counts in women's football, in men's football the 1st and 2nd Bundesliga and the 3rd league also count.

Women

In women's football, only the Bundesliga is a professional league.

Men

Before the incorporation of the Berlin FV into the NOFV, the NOFV-Oberliga formed the highest division in the territory of the former GDR in the 1990/91 season . But it is not included here. In the 1991/92 season, the 2nd Bundesliga was divided into a north and a south season. The third league level changed its name and regional structure several times during this time; Only the third national soccer league introduced in 2008 is considered a professional league .
