List of stumbling blocks in Schwaan
The list of stumbling blocks in Schwaan contains all stumbling blocks that were laid by Gunter Demnig in Schwaan as part of the project of the same name . They are intended to commemorate the victims of National Socialism who lived and worked in Schwaan. So far, one stumbling block has been laid on March 7, 2014 and three more on February 20, 2020. (As of 2020)

Feb 20, 2020 | Willi Marcus was born on June 17, 1888 in Schwaan. He was a merchant and ran a grocery store in what was then Brückenstrasse until 1938. He was arrested during the November pogroms in 1938 and was imprisoned in Strelitz-Alt prison until December 2, 1938 . On July 10, 1942, he was deported to Auschwitz via the Ludwigslust transit camp. | |
