List of student associations in Trier

There are four active student associations in Trier , which belong to different corporate associations. The University of Trier was founded in 1970 together with the Technical University of Kaiserslautern as the second Rhineland-Palatinate university alongside the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz . The Trier University of Applied Sciences and the Theological Faculty also exist in Trier .
