The renaissance castle was built under Johann Baptist Weber in 1568. In 1661 the castle, which had burned down at the time, was rebuilt. It was surrounded by a moat on all sides. The renovation took place in 1821, during which the moat was filled in and planted with fruit trees. The two-storey, cubic main building with a hipped roof originally had a small domed tower. The castle front has a frieze supported by consoles and is provided with typical, strict rectangular fields as plaster decoration. There are arbours on the long sides. The four corners of the castle are fitted with corner turrets that carry tent roofs.

The parish church is said to have been built and donated in 1294 at the expense of the community and the landowners. As early as 1203, in addition to the Freihof and the stately castle, a castle chapel was also mentioned, which is regarded as the Romanesque core of today's parish church. This Romanesque core, built before 1203, consists of a 6.65 × 11.60 m, three-bay nave and had a flat ceiling. Adjacent to the nave was a 4.35 m wide choir square, which served as a chancel. This was later extended to include a late Gothic choir room with net vaults and pointed arch windows. In the 17th century the nave was given a barrel vault with belts and stitch caps. From 1736 to 1737 the baroque west facade was built with today's dome tower, which is crowned with a knob and a cross. The Gothic tower was demolished. The church was later expanded by adding a sacristy. In 1906 the tower received a clock.
