The list of German ambassadors in New Zealand contains the ambassadors of the Federal Republic of Germany in New Zealand . German-New Zealand relations begin with the establishment of the embassy in Wellington in 1953. The German ambassador in Wellington is also accredited for the Cook Islands , Fiji , Kiribati , Niue , Samoa , Tonga and Tuvalu .
