List of Indian ambassadors in Ukraine

From 1962 to March 1999 there was an Indian consul general in Odessa . On August 24, 1991, the Ukrainian Soviet declared its independence from the Soviet Union , which was recognized by the government of PV Narasimha Rao on December 26, 1991. On January 17, 1992, the two governments established diplomatic relations. In May 1992 the Indian embassy was opened in Kiev and in February 1993 the government of Ukraine opened an embassy in New Delhi . The Indian ambassador in Kiev is also regularly accredited to the governments in Yerevan and Tbilisi .
