List of historical buildings in Neumorschen
The list of historical buildings in Neumorschen gives an overview of buildings in the historical Marktstrasse, in the center of Neumorschen , which are mostly listed . Most of them are gabled half-timbered houses from the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries.
Of the five previous mills, three are still preserved: the Wogmühle, which was owned by the landgrave (later the Matsko & Wittmer art mill), the Heckmühle (today's Heckenmühle) and the Obermühle on the Wichte. Neumorschen is a district of the municipality of Morschen in Hesse and extends on the foothills of the Knüllgebirge .

The historic building has been handed down as a Reesestall and was later converted into the town hall. There is a well-preserved Ratskeller here , which is operated as the Tida Thai restaurant . | ||

Fortified church | Marktstrasse 46 location |
The fortified church, now also called Jakobikirche, is a church built to protect the inhabitants . It belongs to the evangelical church district Melsungen. The fortified church, which stood on a late Romanesque choir tower, was surrounded by a fortified cemetery with a circular wall and loopholes. | 15th century | |
Heckenmühle or Heckmannmühle | Compact half-timbered building located directly on the Fulda . At the end of the Thirty Years War, a flood destroyed the grain mill driven by the river . Curt Heckmann then acquired the parcel including the remains of the mill and had it rebuilt. The building has been named after him ever since; it had two grinding and one beating passages as well as a blue passageway (with which paints could be recovered from chopped wood). Although standing on the other bank of the Fulda, the mill was part of Neumorschen. Due to financial problems, there were often changes of ownership. The mill was stopped at the end of the 19th century. The mill is now privately owned by a doctor. |
