Lithuanian Chamber of Notaries
The Lithuanian Chamber of Notaries (lit. Lietuvos notarų rūmai ) is an association ( asociacija ) in which the Lithuanian notaries are organized in the form of a professional chamber and which represents their interests. There are currently around 265 notaries in Lithuania . 24 employees work in the administration of the chamber.
tasks
The main tasks of the Chamber of Notaries are:
- Representation and protection of the common professional interests of notaries;
- Standardize the practice of notarial acts ( notary practice ) and coordinating the duties of notaries;
- Assistance in the application of measures for the proper and dutiful fulfillment of the tasks of the notaries;
- Raising the qualifications of notaries and organizing the training of notary assessors and office workers;
- Participation in the supervision of notarial activities and control of compliance with the ethical requirements of the notarial profession.
