The Little Tonzona River is an approximately 100 km long right tributary of the South Fork Kuskokwim River in Alaska (USA).

The Little Tonzona River rises at an altitude of about 1300  m on the northern flank of a 2056  m high nameless mountain in the Alaska range . The Kichatna Mountains rise southeast of the headwaters . The Little Tonzona River initially flows north through the mountains. From the right, the East Fork Little Tonzona River flows into the river. This leaves the mountains and then flows in a north-westerly, later in a west-north-westerly direction through the Kuskokwim-Tanana lowlands . The Little Tonzona River has a strongly meandering behavior in the lower reaches . The Big Salmon Fork flows to the left of the Little Tonzona River about 20 km above its confluence with the South Fork Kuskokwim River.

The Tonzona River runs about 15 km further east . Both rivers were originally named Tonzona . To distinguish it, the Little Tonzona River was given its current name.
