(1979)

Live: Take No Prisoners is the third live album by the US singer-songwriter Lou Reed . The recordings for the double album took place from May 17 to 21, 1978 in the Bottom Line in New York City . The album was mixed and edited by Manfred Schunke in Delta Studio, Wilster, Germany, and it was released that same year.

In addition to the songs, the album contains longer humorous monologues. In one of them, the music critic Robert Christgau is attacked along with others . In his review of the album, he thanks for the correct pronunciation of his name.

The album was recorded in dummy head stereophony . The microphones were in the ears of the plastic head , so it should sound more real, as if you were "right in the middle". At the beginning, Lou Reed lights a match that makes the effect audible.
