Live at Brixton Academy is the first and only live album by the dance / electronica band Pendulum . It was first released on iTunes on June 12, 2009 , after pre-ordering a week earlier, and contains 16 titles, while DVD contains 19.

Emergence

The album was recorded in its entirety at a gig by Pendulum at the Brixton Academy in London during two concerts by Paul Caslin. Rob Swire was a singer and played synthesizer , Gareth McGrillen took over the electric bass , Peredur ap Gwynedd was guitarist , Paul Kodish played drums and MC was Ben Mount. The album was edited and mixed by Mike Downs.

reception

Charts

The album hit the charts in New Zealand and the UK. While in New Zealand they reached number 32 and occupied a place in the charts for a total of two weeks, in the United Kingdom they climbed to number 45, fell out of the top 75 the next week and made it back to number 64, after which they too had to leave the charts here.

criticism

The album received mostly positive reviews. Emma Horan from allgigs.co.uk said that the album proves that Pendulum are an excellent live band and that you need this DVD if you haven't had a chance to see them live. An author from fasterlouder.com.au said that Pendulum found the right formula, which makes it even more successful.
