Liz Jensen

Liz Jensen (* 1959 in Oxfordshire ) is an English writer who is currently also working for the BBC in the radio and television sector.

Life

Liz Jensen's mother was British-Moroccan and her father was of Danish origin; the mother was a librarian, the father a violin maker. Liz Jensen studied English at Somerville College , Oxford . She then worked as a journalist in Hong Kong and Taiwan, then in Great Britain as a radio and television producer for the BBC. In 1987 she went to France, where she worked as a sculptor and freelance journalist. There she began to write books. On her return to London, her first novel was published in 1995. Her books have since been translated into more than 20 languages.

She has two sons and lives with the Danish bestselling author Carsten Jensen in London and Copenhagen.
