Lyubov Alexandrovna Filimonowa ( Russian Любовь Александровна Филимонова ; born August 31, 1988 in Uner , Krasnoyarsk region ) is a Russian biathlete starting for Kazakhstan who was only used nationally in Russia until the beginning of 2009 and the associated change to the Kazakh association.

Lyubov Filimonova began cross-country skiing at the age of ten and achieved considerable success in her age group. Her first trainer Alexander Funtikow introduced her to biathlon at the age of fifteen, and when she was sixteen she was accepted into the sports school of the Olympic Reserve in Divnogorsk . During this time she became three-time Russian youth champion. Then she trained in the biathlon academy in Krasnoyarsk ( Красноярская "Академия биатлона” ). In the spring of 2009 she switched from the Russian to the Kazakh association and has since started working for Kazakhstan, where she now lives in Cheryomushki . Filimonowa made her international debut in 2009 at the start of the IBU Cup season in Idre , where she was 56th and 38th in sprint races. Then she rose to the biathlon world cup . In the first race of the 2009/10 season , an individual in Östersund , she was 81. In the following races Filimonova was able to improve steadily and won a sprint in Pokljuka as 35th for the first time World Cup points. In 2010 Lyubov Filimonova took part in the Winter Olympics. Her best result was 57th place in the individual, in the sprint she came in 67th. With the relay she finished 14th.
