Lyudmila Nikolajewna Muravjowa ( Russian Людмила Николаевна Муравьёва ; born  November 10, 1940 in Moscow ) is a former Russian athlete who specialized in discus and competed for the Soviet Union.

Career

At the Olympic Games in Mexico City in 1968 , Murawjowa finished 9th with 52.26 m behind Brigitte Berendonk from West Germany. Four years later she finished 8th at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich with 59.00 m behind Carmen Ionesco from Romania .

At the European Athletics Cup in 1967 in Soviet Kiev , Murawjowa won a silver medal behind Karin Illgen from the GDR .

At the European Championships in 1969 in the Karaiskakis Stadium in Piraeus near Athens , Muravjowa won the silver medal behind her compatriot Tamara Danilowa with a width of 59.24 m . Three years later, she won the bronze medal behind Liesel Westermann from West Germany at the European Championships in Helsinki in 1971 with a 59.48 m width .

In 1968 she placed before Tamara Danilowa on rank 1 in the Soviet championships. A year later Muravyova won again.
