Lloyd Richard Dyer (born September 13, 1982 in Birmingham ) is an English football player .
West Bromwich Albion
Lloyd Dyer, who came from his own youth academy, made his debut on October 2, 2002 for West Bromwich Albion in a 3-1 defeat at Wigan Athletic in the 2002/03 League Cup . In the Football League First Division 2003/04 he was used in seventeen league games and reached promotion to the Premier League with his team as second in the table . After he was used only four times in the Premier League 2004/05 , he moved on March 22, 2005 on loan until the end of the season for the second division club Coventry City . Another loan to the Queens Park Rangers followed in September 2005 .
Millwall FC and Milton Keynes Dons
On January 27, 2006 Dyer moved to the second division club Millwall FC . After less than two months, however, he dissolved the contract prematurely and remained without a club until the end of the season. It was not until August 1, 2006 that he signed a new contract with fourth division club Milton Keynes Dons . After five goals and a fourth place in the table in the first season Lloyd Dyer (43 league games / 11 goals) won the championship in the Football League Two 2007/08 with MK Dons . As an award for his good performance, he was voted into the PFA Team of the Year in the fourth division.
Leicester City
On July 1, 2008, he was introduced as a newcomer to Leicester City . With the second division relegated Dyer (44 league games / 10 goals) secured the championship title in Football League One 2008/09 . The newcomer was also able to convince in the new division and reached the play-off entry as fifth in the table , but failed there prematurely at Cardiff City . In the two following seasons, regular Dyer found himself with his team only in the middle of the table. It was not until the Football League Championship 2012/13 that Leicester City reached the play-offs again thanks to a win on the last day of the game at Nottingham Forest . There the club failed in the semifinals under dramatic circumstances at Watford FC .
