The Río Lobos (sometimes also called Río Ucero ) is a tributary of the Duero . It rises in the southeast of the Spanish province of Burgos . Around 75% of its course is located in the province of Soria in the autonomous region of Castile-León .
geography
The Río Lobos rises on the south side of the Sierra de la Demanda . It first flows a short distance in a south-easterly direction, then - apart from a few loops - in a southerly direction and flows into the Duero about 15 kilometers south of El Burgo de Osma .

Attractions
A major scenic attraction is the Parque Natural del Cañon del Río Lobos, established in 1985 and covering around 9,580 hectares . To the south of the park is the small town of Ucero with the nearby Ermita San Bartolomé . The city of El Burgo de Osma is both historically and culturally significant . To the southeast of La Olmeda is a medieval watchtower ( Atalaya ) from the time of the Muslim occupation (10th / 11th centuries).
