The fourth Jebtsundamba Khutukhtu Luwsan Tüwden Wanchug Jigmed Jamts and Lobsang Thubten Jigme Wangchuk Gyatsho ( Tib. Blo bzang thub bstan dbang phyug 'jigs med rgya mtsho * 1775 , † 1813 ), the reincarnation of the 3rd jebtsundamba khutuktu Yeshe Nyima Tenpe , was the religious leader of Mongolian Buddhism .

Life

During his time, Khüree (monastery town) moved from Khüi Mandal to the bank of the Selbe River in 1778; H. the current location in Ulaanbaatar . After studying at Tibetan monastery universities, he founded an astrological monastery school ( Dazan ) in Khüree in 1789. He was an intelligent and well-qualified monk; he holds an Agramba, Doctor of Vajrayana Tantric Studies, and has been the author of numerous spiritual works. He founded the Dechingalaw Temple for Kalachakra ceremonies (Düinkhor) in 1806 and renamed the tantric school founded by the 2nd Jebtsundamba Khutukhtu as Badma yogo. In 1807 he founded a hermitage called Shaddublin (Shaddüwlin) in a valley on the edge of Khüree. In 1809 he founded the second philosophical monastery school in Gandan next to the first. During his time, Khüree, along with the religious center, became the site of the highest civil authority in the country, with Chinese traders permanently residing there.

His remains were in the Amarbayasgalant Monastery until 1937 , which was almost completely destroyed during the Stalinist terror in Mongolia in 1937 .
