Sascha Bandermann (born October 29, 1971 in Düsseldorf ) is a German television presenter , sports journalist and former tennis player .

life and career

Sascha Bandermann grew up in Kaarst . He started playing tennis at the age of six and was among the five best youth players in Germany from 1987 to 1989. In 1989 he was sidelined for four months due to a hand injury. In 1992 Bandermann became a professional and mainly played tournaments on the ITF Future Tour . In 1998 he won two futures in doubles. Bandermann played his last professional tournament in 2000 in Mönchengladbach . There he had to give up in the third set due to an injury in the qualifying round. Then he ended his professional career.

He played ten years for the RTHC Bayer Leverkusen and the TC Blau-Weiss Neuss in the 1st Bundesliga .

Since 2003 he has been working as a television presenter and sports journalist for Sport1 and Sky Germany . He works every weekend as a reporter in German football stadiums for the Sky Deutschland broadcaster. In addition, Bandermann regularly moderates the news on Sport 1 .

On January 5, 2013, he and Verena Wriedt presented the DEL Winter Game 2013 in the Nuremberg Stadium .
