Verena Wriedt (born January 9, 1975 in Wiesbaden ) is a German journalist and television presenter .

Life

Verena Wriedt lived in the Philippines from 1981 to 1991 . She attended the German School Manila and then the International School Düsseldorf . After high school studied them until the BA Media Studies & Public Relations St. at the College of Mark & St John at the University of Exeter . Wriedt graduated magna cum laude from the master’s program in Broadcast Journalism at Emerson College in Boston .

In 1993 she became newsroom assistant at Norddeutscher Rundfunk in the Aktuell editorial department in Hamburg , and two years later she became a production assistant at Die Tonleiter in Düsseldorf .

From 1996 to 1998 she worked as an account executive at GRAMM Advertising in Düsseldorf. She then moved to VIVA in Cologne , where she first worked as a production assistant and author and later as an assistant producer and writer .

In 2000 and 2001, Wriedt completed an internship at Sat.1 18:30 Nachrichten in Berlin and at Blitz in Studio Dortmund , Hamburg and London . She then became an editor at ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG , including for Sat.1 News and Sat.1 News - Die Nacht as well as the ProSieben , kabel-eins and N24 news.

She dares to get behind the wheel of original vehicles, tries to solve tasks around the topic of automobiles and speaks to prominent guests. Wriedt and Sascha Bandermann as the moderation team led through the DEL Winter Game 2013 in the Nuremberg stadium on January 5, 2013.

Since 2012 she has moderated the program PS-Das Automagazin .

In 2012 Verena Wriedt sponsored the SOS Children's Village in Manila , Philippines and supports the installation of an ecological treatment system for drinking water in the SOS vocational training center in Lipa in the Philippines. She is involved in events such as the “All Nations Festival” and donates prize money from TV appearances such as “The Perfect Celebrity Diner” for SOS Children's Villages.
