As Lobster 12.5 (12.5 a 4.23 meter foot ) long wooden boat class with Spitzgatt - Hull called. The boats can be sailed with steep gaff rigging or driven as rowboats . A motorization with an outboard is possible via a Bünn . With sails, the appearance of the Lobster 12.5 resembles traditional Dutch sloops , which were used for fishing near the coast in the 19th century. The clinker cladding , however, is carried out using a contemporary stitch and glue process based on epoxy resin . The boat was developed by the Dutch shipyard Linnartz Houten Bootenbouw and built from 2007 to 2016. It was usually sold as a kit and built by the buyer himself.
