Lode (Pomeranian noble family)
Lode is the name of an old Pomeranian noble family .
A connection with the German-Baltic , today in Finland continuing gender Lode has not been established and is rejected by a majority of the research.
history
In 1242, the documentary witness Sydfridus miles dictus Lode appears in Pomerania, a very respected and influential family in the following years. In 1731 the male line died out in Pomerania.
Historical property
The Pomeranian Lode were especially wealthy in Cammin Abbey , and later also in Neustettin .
- in the Fürstenthum district : Bublitz, Gust, Borkenhagen, Kaltenhagen and Schulzenhagen
- in the Neustettin district : Falkenheyde, Gramenz, Janikow, Lübgust, Lütken-Krummebock, Schwartow, Steverburg, Storckow, Zechendorf and Zuchen
coat of arms
The main coat of arms of the Pomeranian Lode shows three (2, 1) golden lion heads with red tongues in red. On the helmet with its gold-red covers, three silver lilies on green leafy stems. Completely different from this, Siverth Lode sealed in 1528 with two eagle wings with attached fangs in the shield.
