Life

Coming from a family of painters (his two brothers Hubert de Vadder and Philipp de Vadder were also painters), he became a member of the Guild of St. Luke , the guild of painters in Brussels , in 1628 . He developed into one of the most important landscape painters of his time. In addition, however, he also made drawings and engravings, also predominantly with natural motifs. In addition, he created numerous templates for various wall wallpaper and tapestry manufacturers in Brussels .
