Loek Boermans

Ir. Loek MM Boermans is an aerodynamicist at the Technical University of Delft , glider pilot and President of OSTIV . At the TU Delft he is responsible for the Low Speed ​​Aerodynamics Laboratory . Boermans became known through numerous aerodynamic designs for gliders, including:

• Aerodynamic design of the Schleicher ASW 24
• Wing profile of the Glaser-Dirks DG-800 series
• Fuselage-wing transition and winglets from DG Flugzeugbau DG-1000
• Fuselage-wing transition for Stemme -Motorsegler
• Tail unit from Schempp-Hirth Ventus 2
• Aerodynamic design by Lange Antares 20E and Lange Antares 18S / T
• Wing profile of the Jonker JS1 with his student Johan Bosman
• Concordia wing with his student Johannes Dillinger
• Wing concept Schempp-Hirth Quintus and Lange Antares 23E

He is currently perceived as a protagonist for boundary layer extraction.
