The Logudoro ( Sardinian word that comes from the abbreviation of Logu de Torres ) is the name of a landscape that forms the heartland of northwestern Sardinia . It is located in the province of Sassari . The limestone region, the southern parts of which are formed by the Meilogu and the Goceano , has numerous cultural highlights ( San Pietro di Sorres , Santissima Trinità di Saccargia and the Nuraghe Santu Antine in the Valle dei Nuraghi ). The museums of Bonorva , Padria and the Valle dei Nuraghi are the landmarks next to the Museo Nazionale GA Sanna in Sassari .
