The Lohnder Bach is an approximately 3 km long tributary of the Leine . By definition, it arises from a nameless ditch when crossing under the main road between the Seelz districts of Kirchwehren and Almhorst . At the same time, responsibility for the water is transferred from the city of Seelze to the lower water authority .
It flows around Almhorst to the southwest, flows through the Lohnder Holz and crosses under Lohnde the piped B 441 and the Mittelland Canal . After crossing Lohnde in a northerly direction, it joins the Leine directly at the northern end of the village.
