Lohnraub is a German crime film by Helmut Krätzig from 1974. The television film was released as the 23rd episode of the Polizeiruf 110 film series .
action
In a ship equipment factory, wages worth 35,000 marks are stolen. Shortly before, the accountant Mr. Neumann had been fetched from work by a caller because there was supposedly a fire in his apartment. Ms. Dornberger is alone in the cash register with the money and can be overwhelmed by the thief. Night porter Friedrich Carl Brümmer is also beaten up and tied up by the perpetrator. Nevertheless, he manages to alert the workers at the plant, who call the police. First Lieutenant Peter Fuchs, Lieutenant Vera Arndt and Master Lutz Subras take over the investigation.
It soon becomes clear that the fire report was a false alarm. Ms. Dornberger is very nervous during the interrogation, while Friedrich Carl Brümmer tries unobtrusively but firmly to direct the suspicion to the young worker Dieter Zilinski. Nevertheless, the traces at the crime scene make the investigators thoughtful. A large roll cabinet allegedly fell over because Brümmer was pushed against it by the perpetrator. Peter Fuchs carries out a similar experiment with Lutz Subras, but the cupboard hardly moves. Brümmer could also have caused the head wound himself.
The strange behavior of Ms. Dornberger and Mr. Neumann is cleared up when Dornberger's daughter is admitted to the hospital, heavily pregnant. Brümmer, in turn, suddenly meets with former pop star Emma Schnabel. Brümmer used to be an orchestra leader, had great success with tango melodies and now wants to be on stage again. He wrote a new melody for Emma. She had also once agreed to marry him if he buys a certain luxurious house by the lake. Now he wants to buy this house.
Lutz Subras observes Brümmer as a possible perpetrator. New wages have been taken from the bank and the money is stolen again. However, the light was on in Brummer's apartment and the changing light sources in the apartment made it clear that someone was there. Vera Arndt was the first to find an indication in an older newspaper that a special feature of Brummer's earlier orchestral appearances was the use of artificial light. She searches the apartment with Peter Fuchs and both finally find a timer that is connected to the light sources in the apartment. Brümmer is arrested at Emma Schnabel's hotel. The stolen money can be found with him. Emma, in turn, is arrested a little later as a confidante. She had taken around 10,000 marks of the looted money and wanted to flee.
