Loifing is a district of the town of Hauzenberg in the Lower Bavarian district of Passau .

The hamlet of Loifing is located in the compartment about one and a half kilometers south of Hauzenberg.
history
The -ing ending refers to the establishment of the place at the time of the Bavarian conquest. Lofing later belonged to the Obmannschaft Glotzing and to the office of Hauzenberg of the Oberhaus regional court in the Passau monastery . In 1787 the place consisted of seven properties.
After secularization in Bavaria and the incorporation of the bishopric into the Kingdom of Bavaria , Loifing was assigned to the tax district Jahrdorf in 1808 and to the community of Jahrdorf in 1818 as part of the formation of the community. With their dissolution, the place came on January 1, 1972 to what was then Markt Hauzenberg (since 1978 town).
