The Lunpo Gangri (or Lunpo Gangri ) is the highest mountain in the Gangdise mountain chain in the Tibet Autonomous Region .
The Loinbo Kangri has a height of 7095 m . It is located in Zhongba County within the prefecture of Xigazê . The mountain lies in the glaciated part of a mountain range that extends in a northwest direction. The Loinbo Kangri is located in the catchment area of the Yarlung Tsangpo , which flows 35 km south of the mountain in an easterly direction.
Ascent history
The Loinbo Kangri was first climbed on October 23, 1996 by the Chinese Cha Jin-Chol and the two Koreans You Seok-Jae and Bang Jung-il via the northeast ridge.
