Lokossa is a city in the African Republic of Benin . It is the capital of the Mono department . The city is located in the south of the country, just a few kilometers east of the border with Togo . The RN2 trunk road runs through the city.
The city is the seat of the Roman Catholic diocese of Lokossa .
Town twinning
Lokossa is twinned with the municipality of Evere ( Belgium ).
