Lomepal (born December 4, 1991 in Paris ; real life Antoine Valentinelli ) is a French rapper .

Life

The Parisian rapper owes his stage name to his childhood friends. Because of his pale complexion, they always thought he was sick, hence Lomepal ( French l'homme pâle , pale man ' ). His first stage name was Jo Pump.

Childhood and youth

Antoine Valentinelli is the son of Dominique Valentinelli, reader proofreader at Éditions Gallimard , his mother is an artist and painter. So he grew up in an artistic, unstable environment. In fact, his mother's income, through whom he was raised, is very irregular: “The middle class, a little bohemian. I lived in a huge workshop that had big exhibitions. My mother sold well and at other times it was much more difficult financially. ”His father left the house when he was young, so Antoine did not grow up with him but was surrounded by his three sisters and his mother. The high school period illustrates this situation well, the young Antoine is expelled from Rodin High School ( 13th arrondissement ) and his case even leads to the headmistress being transferred. At that time he will explain: "At home it was war: my father left, my mother was in the hospital, after school my head didn't stand up." Then he began with the assembly studies, which he broke off to devote himself to rap.
