Lone Wolf is a town in Kiowa County in the US state of Oklahoma .

Lone Wolf is located approximately 15 kilometers west of the city of Hobart , where the county seat is located, and approximately 10 kilometers east of the county line with Greer County . The main drag from Lone Wolf is State Highway 9, which connects to State Highway 44 at the east end of the community. In the south-east, near the city, is Hohman Airport, a small private airport. The nearest public airport, Hobart Municipal Airport, is in Hobart.

About ten kilometers southwest of Lone Wolf, the approximately ten kilometer long Lake Altus reservoir extends roughly in a north-south direction. Its dam was built in 1927 with a length of almost 140 m and a height of eight meters. It dams the water of the North Fork of the Red River . On the southwest side of Lake Altus, Quartz Mountain State Park was established as a nature reserve in 1935 .
