The Lopskaja ( Russian Лопская ) is a river in the Republic of Karelia and in the Murmansk Oblast in Russia .

The 106 km long river has a catchment area of 2760 km² and flows into the Kowdosero . The Lopskaya has various river names along its course. The upper course of the Lopskaja is called Mjugra ( Russian Мюгра ) and arises east of the Pjaosero at 151  m altitude in the lake Mjugro ( Russian Мюгро ). The river flows in an easterly direction to Lake Werchneie Schapkosero .

The river then changes its name to Bolshaya ( Russian Большая ) and flows into Lake Tikschosero when coming from the south .

On its north bank, the river leaves the lake and splits into two arms, the eastern pudos ( Russian Пудос ) and the western Wintscha ( Russian Винча ), both of which flow off to the Notosero .

As Tjulle ( Russian Тюлле ) which connects the Lopskaja Notosero the northern lake Lopskoje from which the flow then Lopskaja means and the lake Paschma to flow through and eventually ends up in Lake Kovdozero.

The damming of the Kowda in the 1950s created a lake landscape that extends from the original Kowdosero in the north to the Notosero in the south. Furthermore, the runoff from the Tikschosero is regulated seasonally.
