Walther model 3
The Walther Model 3 pistol is a self-loading pistol from the weapons manufacturer Carl Walther from Zella-Mehlis-St. Blasii .
history
The pistol was manufactured from 1910 to 1913. It has the ejector window on the left side of the slide, where the words "Selbstlade-Pistole Cal. 7,65 Walther's Patent" are engraved above the Walther loop. The metal surface of the pistol was burnished, but also available in nickel-plated. The handles are made of hard rubber. Model 3 was built in two variants. The distinguishing feature between the two variants is the number of grip grooves on the slide. Variant 1 has 13 grooves and variant 2 has 12 grooves. Approximately 3,500 model 3 pistols were made.
An identical pistol with the label "Messerfabrik Vulkan, Solingen" was produced. Whether this was a license production or not can no longer be determined today.
