Lists on the subject

The Walther CCP , or Concealed Carry Pistol (German: "covered pistol to be carried"), is a pistol made by the German weapons manufacturer Walther .

history

The Walther CCP was presented in March 2014. As with the Walther P99 and Walther PPQ, the most striking feature is the lack of a hammer; the CCP uses a firing pin lock that is completely inside .

technology

Disassembled Walther CCP.

The weapon works according to the Barnitzke system , which Walther calls SoftCoil , and has a Picatinny rail in the front area of the grip for optoelectronic aiming aids . In contrast to the P99 or PPQ, the CCP has a manual backup. The pistol is 163 mm long, 30 mm wide, 130 mm high and equipped with a 90 mm barrel. The handle is a shortened version of the P99Q handle. The slide is made of stainless steel and is optionally available in black or silver. The magazine holds 8 rounds of 9 × 19 mm caliber.

The trigger requires 7 mm travel and 25 Newton release force and is therefore relatively heavy for a small pistol.

In order to dismantle the CCP, a small tool is required that has to be pushed into the weapon behind the breech. In September 2018 Walther brought the CCP M2 onto the market, which no longer requires any additional tools to disassemble the weapon.
