Lists on the subject

The Walther CP99 is a sport pistol from the German gun manufacturer Umarex and is a replica of the Walther P99 .

Differences to the original

The most noticeable difference is the labeling as CP99 (original: P99) to identify a CO 2 weapon. The CP99 also has a fuse on the right-hand side that is missing on the original. The voltage state, which is indicated on the P99 by a red point at the back, is missing on the CP99. In contrast to the relatively incompatible variant of the P99, the mounting rail under the barrel of the CP99 has the more common Weaver rail format, which is now also used in the newer DAO version of the P99.

Magazine and CO 2 capsules

The weapon is powered by a 12 g CO 2 capsule that is housed in the magazine. The magazine is ejected by a lever under the trigger, which can be operated by left and right-handers alike. One capsule is sufficient for up to 110 shots, whereby the performance decreases from approx. 75 shots.

The weapon fires up to 8 rounds of 4.5 mm pellets from a drum magazine that is inserted into the top of the weapon .

Legal

Since the CP 99 has an energy of less than 7.5 J, it can be purchased in Germany from the age of 18 freely and without a gun license. To wear it in public, however, a gun license would be required, which, however, is in principle not issued for air guns.
