The Walther P22 is a self-loading pistol from the German weapons manufacturer Walther in caliber .22 lfB .

It looks similar to the Walther P99 pistol , but differs significantly from it in that it has an external hammer and a manual safety device .

technology

The P22 is a recoil charger with an unlocked ground lock . It works according to the DA / SA principle. The single-row magazine unlocks the trigger rod when inserted. The gun can only be released by pulling the trigger, i. H. a relaxation on the safety lever, as with many other weapons, z. B. the HK P8 is not possible. Since all controls, with the exception of the slide catch lever , are available on both sides, the P22 is suitable for both right and left-handers.
