The LP 400 is a precision air pistol from Carl Walther Sportwaffen . The compressed air weapon has the caliber 4.5 mm (.177 cal) diabolo . It is based on a 200 bar compressed air system . The compressed air is introduced through a compressed air cylinder, which is fastened under the barrel by a rotary joint. The cartridge has a ten-year TÜV , which cannot be extended. The rifled barrel has a carbon fiber jacket . Other materials are aluminum and wood.

The LP 400 has an energy of less than 7.5 joules . In Germany it can be acquired freely from the age of 18 and without a gun license.
