The Walther Model 4 pistol is a self-loading pistol manufactured by the arms manufacturer Carl Walther in Zella-Mehlis-St. Blasii was established.
history
The pistol was produced in different variants from 1910 to 1928. The differences between the individual versions are relatively small and more of a visual nature, such as the different number of grooves on the slide or different texts on the slide. The pistol was offered with both a burnished and a nickel-plated metal surface. The pistol has hard rubber grips.
The pistol was used as a service weapon by the police, officers of the Imperial Army, officers of the Reichswehr and the Reichsbahn police. After the Second World War the pistol was used by the police in Bavaria as a service weapon. Approximately 275,000 Model 4 pistols were made.
