Lists on the subject

PPS is the name of a self-loading pistol from the German gun manufacturer Carl Walther GmbH . PPS stands for P olizei P istole S chmal . It has almost the same dimensions as the Walther PPK , but has a greater target ballistic effect due to its larger caliber .

Deduction

The trigger is designed as a "double-action-only", ie as a cocking trigger with a preloaded firing pin.

Magazine capacities

The different magazine capacities with only minor deviations from one cartridge each are due to the different magazine bottoms that extend the grip. This makes it possible to individually adapt the weapon to different hand sizes and to use the maximum of the available space for the ammunition.

Model variants

In addition to the basic version of the Walther PPS, a collector's version , the First Edition and the PPS Police are also produced.

In 2016 the PPS M2 was also presented. In contrast to the release lever of the M1, it has a traditional magazine release button on the handle. In addition, the handle itself was adapted; it now has the "Hi-Grip" design of the Walther P99Q, just like the Walther PPQ and (in shortened form) the Walther CCP .

The closure of the PPS M2 has also been revised. There are now additional gripping surfaces on the front of the closure and the "PPS" lettering has been redesigned.
