Career

societies

Huber, known as athletic, with a strong header and known for his wide passes, began playing football at Offenburger FV and in 1925 won the South Baden district championship with the club. In the subsequent promotion games he switched to the competitor Karlsruher FV , which was resented by him.

But the change should prove to be the right one for him, as the Karlsruher FV took first place in the promotion round and thus rose to the regional top division, the Württemberg / Baden district league, and promptly became district champion as a newcomer. In the subsequent final round of the South German championship , he and his team took the last place of six participating teams. In the five consecutive seasons after the following season, he again won the Baden championship; In the finals of the South German Championship, however, the team fell short of expectations.

National team

His only international match for the senior national team he played on October 30, 1932 in Budapest in the 1: 2 defeat against the national team of Hungary . He was on the list of Reich trainer Otto Nerz much earlier , but a meniscus injury set him back at the age of 21.
