Lorenz Sohn (born January 4, 1895 in Andernach , † June 18, 1981 in Remagen ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Son attended elementary school and later became a master carpenter. He worked as a foreman in a furniture factory and as a union secretary. He was a Protestant denomination.

In 1912 he became a member of the SPD and the trade union. In the Weimar Republic he was a member of the Ahrweiler district council. In the time of National Socialism he could not continue his political work. From 1946 to 1956 he was again a member of the Ahrweiler district council and from 1946 to 1969 a member of the district committee. In addition, he was a member of the Remagen City Council and second deputy of the Remagen Office. In the SPD he was chairman of the SPD local and district association Ahrweiler.

On October 2, 1949, he replaced Emil Bettgenhäuser in the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament, to which he was a member until the end of the first electoral period on May 17, 1951.
